Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone National Park is a vast wilderness area located primarily in Wyoming, though it also extends into Montana and Idaho. Established in 1872, it is famously recognised as the first national park in the world. The park is best known for its incredible geothermal features, including the world’s largest collection of geysers, such as the predictable Old Faithful. It is also home to dramatic canyons, expansive forests, and diverse wildlife, including grizzly bears, wolves, and large herds of bison. Because it sits on top of a massive volcanic hotspot, the park features bubbling mud pots and colourful hot springs that attract millions of visitors each year who come to experience its unique natural beauty.
