Warren Buffett
Warren Buffett is an American business magnate and investor widely considered one of the most successful investors in history. He was born on 30 August 1930 in Omaha, Nebraska, and developed a keen interest in business and finance from a young age. After graduating from university, he began his investment career in the 1950s and eventually took control of the textile manufacturing firm Berkshire Hathaway in the mid-1960s. Over the next six decades, he transformed Berkshire Hathaway into a massive global conglomerate with holdings in insurance, energy, railroads, and retail, among many other industries. Because of his long-term success and his tendency to live a relatively modest life in his hometown, he earned the nickname the "Oracle of Omaha."
