Venus
Venus is the second planet from the Sun, a rocky terrestrial planet often called "Earth's twin" due to its similar size, mass, and density. It is the hottest planet in the solar system, with surface temperatures hot enough to melt lead, due to a thick, heat-trapping atmosphere of carbon dioxide. Venus also features a surface with volcanoes and mountains, a unique retrograde (opposite) rotation, and is the brightest planet in the night sky, despite having no moons.
