Titan is one of Saturn's 82 moons.

The moon was discovered in 1655 by the Dutch Christiaan Huygens with the help of the telescope built by his brother, Constantijn.

The diameter of Titan is 5151 km long, making the moon larger than the planet Mercury. It is the second largest moon in our solar system, after Ganymedes.

Titan's rotation time is 15d 22h and 41m long.

The moon is the only moon in our solar system with a closed atmosphere. Scientists suspect that there is a sea of liquid water and ammonia beneath the surface of Titan.

It is even possible that there is extraterrestrial life in that sea.

Due to the cold surface, all the processes of life evolution would be greatly slowed down,

Which might allow scientists to find out how life was born.

Titan has 13× as much water as all the water scientists think.
