Larry Ellison is an American businessman best known as the co-founder of the software company Oracle Corporation. He was born on 17 August 1944 in New York City. After working for several tech companies in the 1970s, he co-founded what would become Oracle in 1977. He served as the company's chief executive officer for 37 years, from its founding until 2014.
