Keir Starmer

Keir Starmer is the current Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, a position he has held since July 2024. Born in London in 1962, he worked as a high-ranking lawyer for many years, eventually becoming the Director of Public Prosecutions, where he was responsible for leading the Crown Prosecution Service. He entered politics in 2015 when he was elected as a Member of Parliament for the Labour Party. He became the leader of the Labour Party in 2020 and led the party to a major victory in the 2024 general election. As prime minister, he is the leader of the government and is responsible for making key decisions regarding the country's laws, economy, and foreign relations.
