Hubble is a space telescope launched in 1990 and orbits Earth far beyond the atmosphere. This allows Hubble to create sharp images of objects in the universe, without the Earth's atmosphere disrupting the observations.

The Hubble Space Telescope is named after astronomer Edwin Hubble. The Hubble was brought into space using the Space Shuttle Discovery (STS-31) and has been doing its observations since May 20, 1990 to date.

The Hubble telescope has a mirror with a diameter of 2.4 metres and observe the five main instruments in the ultraviolet, visible and near-infrared part of the electromagnetic spectrum.

The telescope has taught people a lot about stars, planets, galaxies. But also about the origin of the universe. For example, through Hubble, we know more about how stars and planets develop and how the universe expands.

Because the Hubble orbits the Earth like an artificial moon, you can call it a satellite.
