The Empire State Building is one of the most famous skyscrapers in the world, located in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. Standing at 1,454 feet (443.2 metres) tall to its antenna tip, it was designed in the Art Deco style by the architectural firm Shreve, Lamb & Harmon. The building’s name comes from "Empire State," the official nickname of New York State.
