Coldplay
Coldplay are a British rock band formed in London in 1996. The members are lead singer and pianist Chris Martin, guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, and drummer Will Champion. They met while studying at University College London and quickly became one of the most successful acts in the world. Their music is known for its melodic, anthemic style, often combining pop sensibilities with emotional, piano-driven rock. They rose to fame in 2000 with their debut album, Parachutes, and the hit single "Yellow." Over the following decades, they produced a string of massive albums including A Rush of Blood to the Head, X&Y, and Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends. Throughout their career, they have won numerous Grammy Awards and are celebrated for their elaborate, immersive live concert experiences, which often feature light shows, sustainable energy initiatives, and audience participation.
