Bernard Arnault
Bernard Arnault is a French businessman who is the chairman and chief executive officer of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, the world’s largest luxury goods company. He was born on 5 March 1949 in Roubaix, France. After graduating from the École Polytechnique in Paris with an engineering degree, he began his career in his father's construction company. In 1984, he used money from that business to acquire the struggling textile and retail conglomerate Boussac Saint-Frères, which owned the fashion house Christian Dior. This acquisition marked his entrance into the luxury industry and the start of a strategy that saw him consolidate dozens of high-end brands under one roof.
