Barack Obama
Barack Obama is an American politician who served as the 44th president of the United States from 2009 to 2017. He was born in Hawaii in 1961 and later moved to Chicago, where he worked as a community organiser and a lawyer. He first gained national attention when he was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2004. In 2008, he won the presidential election, becoming the first African American to hold the office of president. During his eight years in the White House, his major goals included reforming the country's healthcare system, helping the economy recover from a global financial crisis, and working to address climate change. He also helped end the war in Iraq and signed a major deal to limit Iran’s nuclear programme. After leaving office, he has continued to be involved in public life by writing books, producing films, and supporting various social causes.
