Antarctica

Antarctica is Earth's fifth-largest, southernmost, and iciest continent, centered at the geographic South Pole and almost entirely covered by a vast ice sheet. It is the coldest, driest, and windiest continent, functioning as a massive ice desert with much of the world's freshwater frozen there. While it has no permanent human population, it is home to unique wildlife and is a significant location for scientific research, governed by the Antarctic Treaty System.
